Tragicomedies/Romance

Tragicomedies, also called later romances, mix both tragedy and comedy. The stories include serious problems like betrayal, loss, or being cast away, but instead of ending in death, they lead to forgiveness and reunion. These plays often have magical elements, far-off places, and a strong focus on healing and second chances. They show a more thoughtful side of Shakespeare, where the pain characters go through can still lead to hope and peace in the end.
